About Anchorage

Jodyne Greig is an Allied Health provider of therapeutic and psychosocial supports, with accreditation as a Disability Social Worker through the Australian Association of Social Workers. Graduating from Curtin University she has dedicated over 20 years to supporting people with disabilities and their families.

Jodyne’s career has largely revolved around providing direct capacity building support to people with disabilities who also have complex issues and dual diagnoses, as well as supporting their caregivers to build communication, advocacy and conflict-resolution skills essential for navigating the array of disability support services available and supporting their loved one with a disability

On a personal note…

Having family members with disabilities herself, Jodyne’s personal journey and lived experience of being a carer has equipped her with genuine friendliness, warmth and empathy for neuro-diverse individuals and their care-givers.

Working at times in regional areas, Jodyne is also aware of the many additional challenges neuro-diverse populations and their carers face in isolated rural areas, and is passionate about support being available for all. Jodyne therefore offers an assertive outreach model of support.

Jodyne now lives on a 10 acre farmlet and loves gardening and her multitude of animals – many of which are rehabilitated with disabilities! She loves being outdoors and ziplining around the property with her son, as well occasional gaming days (and nights).

‘Anchorage’

“When my family immigrated to Australia, they built a mud-brick and corrugated iron home they named the Anchorage. It was a safe hub and point of connectivity for them and for other migrants who followed. Based on this premise, I’ve adopted the name Anchorage to signify a safe space amidst chaos, where you are supported to gain confidence, capacity and connection in an environment or situation that specifically suits you – be that at home or in the community.”
